My m3u will be wrongly parsed
#1
Hello, the parser on the website will parse the tvg-ID and assign it as channel name, for example
#EXTINF:-1 tvg-ID="channel4.uk" tvg-name="Channel 4 HD" tvg-logo="http://****/4hd.png" group-title="UK | Freeview",Channel 4 HD
will be assigned the name:
channel4.uk
and not
Channel 4 HD
I made sure that the source has assigned a proper name, and indeed the parser is the case.
This happens ONLY when the m3u is updated, on first import it reads it properly
Can you please look at it?

You mix up something.

How your app displays the channel name is the job of your app.

If it displays the tvg-id instead of the tvg-name, then your app is doing it wrong.

Contact your app developer.

An ID is never a NAME. An ID could be a 10 digit number. It identifies the channel for computing and database processes.
Your app is taking the tvg-id as a name, but that is absolutely wrong.

The original m3u is displaying the "right" channel name, because it has no tvg-name and/or tvg-id tag in it until you upload it to us.

It is not "an app" I am talking about. It the http://www.iptv-epg.com website that I am talking about, and is doing the parsing wrongly
[Image: Wj4488dxLgINkDXnqy0q2MsTnQw3nV7D7LEmeMVp...07-h622-no]
The whole line copied from my original m3u:
#EXTINF:-1 tvg-ID="channel4.uk" tvg-name="Channel 4 HD" tvg-logo="http://****/4hd.png" group-title="UK | Freeview",Channel 4 HD

Look at the second entry - it says channel4.uk. Looking at the original M3u file, the entry  under tvg-name is tvg-name="Channel 4 HD" and channel4.uk is the one under  tvg-ID="channel4.uk". So, one would expect the website to assign Channel 4 HD  to Channel name in your m3u file, and not channel4.uk

This ONLY happens when the provider updates the m3u file, not when the m3u file is initially imported. Would you please have a second look into it.

That's not the tvg-id. That's the name of the channel at the end of the line.

#EXTINF:-1 tvg-ID="channel4.uk" tvg-name="Channel 4 HD" tvg-logo="http://****/4hd.png" group-title="UK | Freeview",channel4.uk

We are looking into it, if we are the ones who are accidentally changing it that way, although in our test accounts it is not happening.
