Why most of my USA tv programs have no category
#1
The only category sometimes it gives is Film. The rest has no category at all.

Like A&E

<programme start="20180702003000 +0000" stop="20180702010000 +0000" channel="TVLandEast.us">
<title lang="en">Everybody Loves Raymond</title>
<sub-title lang="en">The Wedding</sub-title>
<desc lang="en">

HGTV

It happens to too many channels to list out. So your sources do not put any category for their programs?

Because the source doesn't give category.

We don't create the EPG. We get it from the (official) sources and we process it for your convenience.

We can only give you what we receive.

The sources are also missing or not correctly applying some data. like <new> and <premiere> when applicable.
