This feature would make it easier for me to choose which channels to select from a playlist by changing them instead of having to delete most channels by selecting each one.

If you mean the import of the m3u, then it was like that before.
I don't know why it changed, but we know about it and we will absolutely change it.
If you mean the channels in the editor:
You can't start with deleting something that you didn't even see.
That would be counterproductive.
For other options simply set the group to that option and click the save button next to the group name.
All channels inherit the group setting.
